Burg Colmberg Hotel

the stairs were a bit steep , but the automated toilets were a fun surprise. the venison dinner was exceptional and the local dark beer was a treat. exploring the castle's creaky floors felt like stepping back in time.

The hotel had indeed a stunning location to the outdoor dining area. And it was also just off a historic castle with great views over the countryside and the major sights in Franken Germany and a hill overlooking a beautiful valley.

Our stay there was fabulous. The hotel had a nice breakfast with variety of items to choose from...

Staying in the tower suite offered fine views, but the breakfast selection was limited.

Of course, I would recomand it to everyone and return. They have an excellant restaurant for dinner, that was a definite bonus.

Wonderful lovely family run place, it has beautiful location right by a castle which is hundreds of years old, and nearby Colmberg. The breakfast is very very good with fantastic view, had great food. The staff are efficient and excellent.

Staying at Burg Colmberg Hotel was an very nice experience for my family! The Tower Suite was spacious and comfortable, with a queen bed and single bed upstairs. Striking views over the castle grounds. The dinner we had was delicious, with local venison and their own brew. Exploring the historic castle was like stepping back in time! The staff were friendly.

The breakfast selection could be improved.

Really enjoyed newly decorated and updated rooms.

Our room had a good bed and an incredible view.

Awesome place with free wi-fi, great dining, and friendly staff who once helped me with plug adaptors. Try the dinner menu. It's amazing! I'm planning my next trip back soon.

Will take your breath away with its grandeur. We had a lovely stay in the Prince Double Room, and the views from our window were captivating. Navigating the many stairs can be challenging for those with mobility issues.

A great experience with friends! We explored medieval towns like Rothenburg ob der Tauber and enjoyed the beautiful sunset views from our Double Room. The staff were helpful, and the hearty breakfast was a plus. Don't miss the local cuisine and try the delicious schnapps!

One downside was that the restaurant was closed , a bummer since we were looking forward to trying the on-site dining.

Big hype, little substance

While the castle's picturesque allure is undeniable, a few hiccups in service and amenities tarnish the overall experience. We faced limited restaurant hours and noise disturbances from neighboring rooms, which detracted from the enchanting atmosphere. A gorgeous location, but some practicalities didn't quite meet expectations.

Upon arrival, we felt neglected by the staff, who did not seem interested in assisting us. The restaurant service was abysmal. We waited far too long for our meals and drinks, with attention focused on other guests instead of us. The noise levels in the courtyard at night made it impossible to get a good night's sleep.

What an unforgettable stay! I was amazed by the amazing venison dishes at dinner, and the breakfast spread was equally impressive, with delicious fresh bread and plenty of options. Plus, exploring the castle's history felt like stepping back in time.
